Royal melbourne
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Royal Melbourne, a high class neighborhood in Chicago's North Shore, is both a residential community and and exclusive, Greg Norman-designed golf course. The neighborhood houses some of Chicago's most elite professionals, including world-renowned lawyers, doctors, and athletes.
The homes of Royal Melbourne are similarly breathtaking. There are approximately 120 houses in the neighborhood, all of roughly 10-15,000 square feet. Most include 5-7 bedrooms and such amenities as full spas, weight rooms, pools, movie theaters, and game rooms.
The country club features 4 clay courts, a large pool, excellent dining services, a gorgeous golf club, and dazzling member list. The caddie master jokes that tips are the least of the caddie's worries; these are men thinking about how to make their next couple million -- they don't worry about their next twenty. Members of the club include: Football coach Dick Jauron, Basketball player Michael Jordan, Football MVP Richard Dent, among others.
One should not be disillusioned by the fact that Royal Melbourne sits amongst smaller neighborhoods in Long Grove, nor the fact that it is outside of Lake Forest. The average home value and per capita income is, in fact, higher in Royal Melbourne than communities such as Lake Forest, Hinsdale, Winnetka, and other affluent North Shore Suburbs.
