Royal Lodge Stakes

The Royal Lodge Stakes is a Group 2 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for two-year-old thoroughbred colts and geldings run over a distance of 1 mile at Ascot Racecourse in late September.
It was first run in 1946. In 1946 and 1947 the race was run over a distance of 5 furlongs. It was run at Newbury Racecourse in 1960 and 1963, and was open to all two-year-olds between 1946 and 1986.
It is named after Royal Lodge, a royal residence in Windsor Great Park.
