The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) is responsible for training, examining and representing ophthalmologists in Australia and New Zealand. There are currently about 700 fellows in Australia. [1]

The RANZCO trains ophthalmologists through the Vocational Training Program[2], which typically takes 5 years which includes both basic and advanced training. Trainees rotate through different hospitals for clinical development and training. [3]

The college also publishes a scientific journal, Clinical & Experimental Ophthalmology. [4]
