The Royal Australian Army Educational Corps (RAAEC) is a specialist corp within the Australian Army, made up entirely of commissioned officers. All members of the corps are civil qualified teachers. RAAEC is responsible for many education focused areas of military training, including the development and implementation of technology-based training, developing training courses, training Staff Cadets in communication skills, managing and conducting long distance education, teaching english to foreign students, analysing education proposals and delivering literacy and numeracy programs.

The locations of the RAAEC include:

  • Headquarters Training Command, Sydney
  • Training technology centre (TTC), Sydney
  • Defence International Training Centre (DITC), Laverton - Victoria
  • Major Training Establisments, in Victoria, New South Wales, Canberra and Queensland
  • Individual training centres, located in every state.
  • Overseas postings.

The current Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Australian Army Education Corps, is Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester[1]
