Royal Adelaide Showgrounds

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Royal Adelaide Showgrounds or Wayville Showgrounds hold many of Adelaide's most popular events including the Royal Adelaide Show. They are south of Greenhill Road and west of Goodwood Road in the suburb of Wayville. It has one of the largest under cover exhibition spaces in the Southern Hemisphere. The Royal Show moved to the present site in 1925. The showgrounds host over 140 exhibitions and conferences each year.

The dirt track around the main oval was originally used as a trotting track. It is now used occasionally for speedway bikes and cars.
