Rowangchhari is located at 22.1667° N 92.3333° E . It has 3607 units of house hold and total area 442.89 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Rowangchhari has a population of 17904. Males constitute are 53.47% of the population, and females 46.53%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 9753.
