The no. 22 line is a bus line operated by the Maryland Transit Administration in Baltimore, Maryland. It currently runs from the Mondawmin Metro Subway Station to Bayview Medical Center. It is a major crosstown line that intersects with many routes, and overlaps with some.

The no. 22 line starting operating in 1947 along its north section only. The line has seen many extensions.
In 1971, the line was extended to West Baltimore on selected trips. These trips eventually made it to Brooklyn.
In 1975, the no. 22 line absorbed two other MTA lines, and was extended to Highlandtown. Selected trips were eventually extended to Francis Scott Key medical center, now known as Bayview Medical Center.
In 1992, the line was shortened to the Patapsco Light Rail Stop. But these trips were later re-extended to Brooklyn after complaints from riders.
In 2001, the no. 22 line, which had a confusing schedule to riders, and poor schedule adherence, was split into two line. The new route of the no. 22 line ran from Mondawmin to Bayview only. A new No. 16 Line served the West Baltimore area, and provided new Sunday service to this area.
In 2006, the line's frequency was doubled midday and on weekends.
