The Rougeau wrestling family started in wrestling in the 1940's.

Jacques Rougeau and his brother, Johnny Rougeau started wrestling in the 1950's in their native Canada. Their uncle is Eddie Auger and he was a wrestler in the 1940's.

Jacques has 3 sons who wrestled: Jacques, Jr.; Raymond; and Armand Rougeau. Jacques' daughter, Johanne, promoted wrestling shows in Canada and is a bodybuilder. She was once a marketing specialist for the World Wrestling Federation. She is married to wrestler Dennis Gauthier. They have a son, Denis, Jr., who plays for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League.
