Rotten Apple is a 2006 album by G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks released October 10. It is Banks' sophomore album, it sold 143,000 copies in its first week[1]. It debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 charts. The title of the album is a play on the New York City nickname "The Big Apple.
"The album features guest appearances from 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Young Buck, Scarface, Mobb Deep, 8 Ball, Rakim, and Musiq Soulchild. Production is provided by Eminem, Needlz, Sha Money XL, Ron Brownz, Havoc, and 9th Wonder. Banks also wants to show the darker side of New York City, and allow listeners to hear what it was like growing up in South Jamaica, Queens. The album was not received well by Lloyd Banks fans in comparison to his debut album The Hunger For More and the leaked The Big Withdraw which was originally going to be his sophomore release.
His third and upcoming album is entitled Gang Green (album).
