Rothman Center

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rothman Center is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Hackensack, New Jersey. It was built in 1987 and is home to the Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights basketball team.

The center hosted the Northeast Conference men's basketball tournament final in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons. The center also hosts various trade shows and special events ranging from doll shows and toy soldier shows to visits by Vice President George H.W. Bush in 1988 and President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore in 1996.

The Rothman Center bears its name as a dedication to two FDU alumni - George & Phyllis Rothman, who made a large donation to construct the venue.

The Northeast Conference men's basketball tournament was held there three times.
