Rotherfield Peppard

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rotherfield Peppard (locally often simply Peppard) is a village and civil parish in the English county of Oxfordshire. It is situated between Reading and Henley-on-Thames.

The Church of England parish church of All Saints is part of the united benefice of Rotherfield Peppard, Kidmore End and Sonning Common. The church is well-appointed thanks to generous bequests and gifts from parishioners. There is also a church school.

The village has been used, twice, as settings in the TV show Midsomer Murders [1], and also for many of the scenes (including the eponymous house) in the Merchant-Ivory production of Howard's End [2] [3].
