Talk:Rose Cotton

Rose "Rosie" Cotton is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. A female Hobbit of The Shire, born in 2984 of the Third Age (1384 by Shire Reckoning), she was a long-time friend of Samwise Gamgee and they were married in 3020 when Sam returned home after the War of the Ring and the Scouring of the Shire. Sam and Rosie had thirteen children. One of them was Elanor the Fair.

Rosie died in the year 61 of the Fourth Age. Sam then left Middle-earth for the Undying Lands.
