[edit] Roswell Galaxy 1 - Wings 4
The first season game took place at Grimes Bridge Park on March 17, 2007. Key players Boris Fridman and Luis Sarabia were missing from the game due to scheduling conflicts, but the Galaxy started off the game well, ending the first half tied 1-1. Thomas Marinos assisted David Powers for the only goal. The second half, however, exposed the Galaxy's relative inexperience, as the team's defense broke down, and the offense failed to capitalize upon the few opportunities that it managed to create. The final two Wings goals were scored in the closing minutes on uncontested fast breaks, making the final margin an inaccurate indication of the competitive match.
