Rossia (1896)

The Rossia (Russia) was an armoured cruiser of the Imperial Russian Navy, She fought in the Russo-Japanese war, being damaged at the Battle of Ulsan. She was converted to a minelayer before World War I, where she fought in the Baltic. The design was an improved version of the armoured cruiser Rurik; with extra armour of Harvey steel, more advanced boilers, and more coal giving greater range.
