Ross Dolan is the vocalist/bassplayer and one of the founders of the American death metal band Immolation. His very deep but nevertheless intelligible death grunt is quite characteristic, vaguely reminiscent of the vocals of Kam Lee[citation needed] and is almost exactly as deep on the band's most recent Harnessing Ruin CD (2005) as it was on its debut Dawn of Possession (1991). A rare feat considering the strain the vocal chords endure when utilizing this vocal style and many vocalists tend to 'pitch up' somewhat as their careers progress[citation needed].
