Rosmini College is a Year 7-13 (Form 1-7) Catholic School situated in the Takapuna area of Auckland's North Shore in New Zealand, directly next to St. Joseph's Parish and Primary School. The school was named after Antonio Rosmini, founder of the Institute of Charity. The school's motto is 'Legis Charitas Plenitudo', translated as 'Charity Fulfills the Law'. In 2005, the school's roll was just under 1,000 students, from various cultural backgrounds. The school was founded in the early 1960s by Father Catcheside.
The school's enrolment policy favours boys from Catholic Primary Schools, and other students fill the remaining roll space. The school's curriculum mainly mirrors that of state schools, except for the addition of Religious Education and its associated Retreats and Masses. Prayers are a part of daily school life at Rosmini (at least one is said every day). Rosmini College has extensive array of facilities for its students. Buildings include the 2-story Main Block (which contains over 20 classrooms, a library and three computer rooms), auditorium, Technology Centre and Science Block. Sports fields are abundant. The Computer rooms have just been upgraded, new computers and new servers. Rosmini College's sister school Carmel College is situated nearby. Each year Rosmini College select two Head Boys and two Deputy Head Boys. Also two young men are selected to be the schools Sports Captains each year.
