Rosh Tzurim

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rosh Tzurim is a settlement and Kibbutz in Gush Etzion. The Kibbutz is a part of the religious kibbutz movement. The settlement was established in 1969 by religious activists.

The Kibbutz is built on the hilltop that had previously been occupied by Ein Tzurim - a kibbutz that was destroyed in the 1948 War by the Arab Legion. That Kibbutz was reestablished in the Lakish area.

Around 100 families live on the kibbutz as of 2006. The Kibbutz raises turkeys, produces milk and grows grapes for wine production.
