Rose Mary School

Rose Mary Matriculation Higher Secondary School is situated in Tirunelveli, a town in the southern part of India. It is a popular school in Palayankottai, the twin city of Tirunelveli. It was founded in the early 1980s by Mr.Jayaraj.

The school now has 4 branches in Tirunelveli:

1. Rose Mary Main School, Convent Road, Palayamkottai 2. Rose Mary Model School, Convent Road, Palayamkottai 3. Rose Mary School, Ram Nagar, Near Thiyagarajanagar, Tirunelveli 4. Rose Mary School, KTC Nagar

The school has a good team of commited and predominantly Christian teachers. The quality of teaching is very good, but the school does not place any importance on the activities for children. The school has a very strict policy towards education. One topic of debate among local families is that the school has separate classes (called E section) and teachers, for students of higher intellect. This leaves students in other classes with a sense of intellectual discrimination.

Uniform for students: White Shirts and Brown Trousers for boys, White Trousers only in Monday Shoes and Socks : Black Socks and shoes

Teacher uniform on important days : Green saree with leaf designs or any saree with leaf designs

The motto of the school is : Bless us to be the blessing

The school has from Lower Kindergarten (LKG) to 12th standard and it has a ladies college too. Mrs.Joy, the principal of one of the schools, got the Dr.RadhaKrishnan Award in 2006
