At Rosary School we work in partnership
To educate young people; To take their place effectively; In the Church and the world. Our Mission, then, in the spirit of the Dominican tradition, is to: Educate the whole child. Create a safe, happy and nurturing environment. Promote Christian values based on the life and teachings of Jesus. Develop strong links with the Parish community. Encourage students to live by the truth and with hope. Respect and honour the dignity and worth of each person. Promote justice and reconciliation.
It was staffed by the Dominican Sisters who would travel daily from the Convent in North Adelaide to provide instruction.
The Sisters established an excellent spirit in true Dominican tradition. Rosary School has continued to offer education within this spirit of St Dominic since the appointment of the first lay Principal in 1984.
Over the years there have been many minor and several major building programs to enhance school facilities. A School Development Plan was formulated in the year 2000 and highlights four areas for ongoing development and review: Community, Ethos and Faith Development Leadership, Administration and Finance Buildings, Grounds and Facilities Staffing and Curriculum (including resources).
The School Development Plan provides the blueprint for all future development for Rosary School to be a coeducational, two stream (two classes at each year level) school from Reception to Year 7. Many of today's students are children, grandchildren or relatives of former students, providing testimony to the fine name that Rosary School maintains.
