Rosalie Howarth is a well known and respected syndicated radio personality host. She lives, works, and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Rosalie also hosts two popular radio shows entitled Acoustic Sunrise and Acoustic Sunset which she broadcasts out of KFOG-FM San Francisco / San Jose, California.
In her early years Rosalie grew up in Monterey, California. As a child, and later as a teenager she walked the railroad tracks of Cannery Row with a transistor radio glued to her ear, and started running away to San Francisco as a teenybopper in the Summer of Love.

Rosalie's first radio endeavor was helping to found a non-commercial community station in her home town of Pacific Grove, California. Rosalie says she evolved into rock radio at a 1970's free-form "progressive" FM station KLRB in Carmel, California. Much of the staff, library, and format continued on at stations KWST and KMBY (FM) after KLRB was sold.

Later she heard of a part-time opening at a new progressive station in San Francisco, called KFOG. She joined the team as a weekend DJ and has added numerous other responsibilities over the 23 years she has worked at the station. She has programmed her show Acoustic Sunrise well over 12 years. "It's a disc jockey's dream come true", says Rosalie.

Rosalie also serves as Director of Special Programming, producing Live From the Archives each week, which means she has access to an extensive collection of live KFOG concert recordings.

Outside of the station, Rosalie writes and co-hosts the nationally syndicated radio show "The Putumayo World Music Hour", which can be heard on over 125 radio stations throughout the world, and can be heard live on KFOG's internet stream at 6:00 am PST Sunday morning before Acoustic Sunrise on kfog.com.
