I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!

You may also want to familiarize yourself with preview mode, which lets you see your changes before you submit them. It also reduces the number of edits in the article history, a convenience other editors will appreciate. --Dhartung | Talk 04:46, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] McMahan

Hi. The McMahan page has been pretty contentious. You might want to discuss your proposed changes at the talk page and see it there are objections before making big changes. A lot of what is there now ahs been debated word by word, and the result is a careful compromise.

All that being said I support most of what you added, just be careful not ot set off an editing war after a couple weeks of peace.

Thanks.

Kevin

[edit] Bruce McMahan article

I appreciate your edits. I started the Bruce McMahan article and watched it blow up as Bruce McMahan's lawyers jumped on it and started editing it like crazy. I got a bit tired of arguing with them, so I'm glad at least one other person has jumped in and seen the kind of sleazy manipulation that's been going on. If you're curious, the lawyers that are editing the article are from the firm Liner Yankelevitz Sunshine & Regenstreif LLP. I know this because a lawyer emailed me from his work account soon after I created the article. Exeunt 03:46, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Civility

I'm sorry I felt I had to make this point, but you really were pushing the limits there. Talk pages should never feel like flame wars and that's where I saw this going. Be firm, but be polite as well, and your arguments will carry more weight. Pushing people's buttons will just make them mad and escalate matters. As we already know that Brad Patrick was looking into the situation, I feel that higher-level eyes are on the article than one normally encounters, and I wish our conduct to be exemplary. --Dhartung | Talk 23:48, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
