Ronnie Duncan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ronnie Duncan is an American former public address announcer for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association.

Duncan, who replaced Jeff Shreve after the 2004-05 NBA season as arena announcer, lasted only one season as arena voice of the Cavaliers.

Duncan was often criticized for being too "over-the-top," similar to Detroit Pistons public address voice John Mason. [1] [2]

Duncan also made notable announcing mistakes. He once referred to Basketball Hall of Fame member Oscar Robertson as Oscar "Robinson." He also announced Lebron James as attending High School at St. Vincent-St. "Michael" instead of correctly saying St. Vincent-St. Mary. [3]

Duncan currently hosts The Ronnie Duncan Morning Show on WERE-AM. He's "married" and has two daughters, Jericka and Jasmine, and a son, Joshua.
