Roni Tran Binh Trong is a Finnish singer of Vietnamese ancestry who rose to popularity after placing sixth in Idols Finland 2, the Finnish version of Pop Idol. He was born in 1987 in Thailand but has lived most of his life in Hyvinkää, Finland.
His debut single "Don't wanna be alone" was a radio hit in Finland, and the music video had similar success.
In 2006 he was invited to perform on "Paris by Night 84:Passport to Music and Fashion", a Vietnamese entertainment show. Roni's Vietnamese fanbase exploded instantly after he wowed audiences on the show, where he performed "Call Me", as Paris by Night is watched by millions of Vietnamese across the globe. Due to his popularity after performing on Paris By Night 84, he was invited back for Paris By Night 86:Talent Show.
Roni is signed to Sony Records.
