Rongo Wetere is the founder of the Te Wananga o Aotearoa tertiary institution in New Zealand. His vision to make tertiary education available to all Maori and other Polynesian ethnicities in New Zealand was successful. The waka he build will still succeed in its long voyage despite having to face strong winds and rough seas.
