Ronde Island

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ronde Island, or L'Île de Ronde, is a small islet between Grenada and Carriacou (Grenadines).

Isolated and untouched by development, fishing or run-off. Visibility typically exceeds 100 feet, and turtles, large pelagics and green moray eels are common. Dramatic underwater topography includes breathtaking drop-offs over 'bottomless' vertical walls, coral-encrusted canyons - and even a swim-through cave which opens to an underground cavern decorated with stalactites and quartz crystals. This island was offered for sale in 2006 for 70,000,000 us dollars. It is mislabelled "Tobago" in the Islands layer of Google Earth.
