Ron Russell

Ronald S. Russell (July 22, 1926) is a politician in Nova Scotia, Canada. He is a Progressive Conservative Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Hants West, and is the current Government House Leader.

He was born in Auckland, New Zealand. He became a pilot for the New Zealand Air Force during the Second World War, and later joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. He retired from the RCAF in 1973, and then worked several years as the Manager of Halifax International Airport.

Russell was first elected in 1978, and held the seat until his retirement in 2006.
