Ron Masak

Ron Masak is an actor born in Chicago, Illinois in 1936. He began on stage and much of his work is in theater. His first screen role was in an episode of The Twilight Zone in 1960. He is perhaps best known for a recurring role on Murder, She Wrote as Sherrif Mort Metzger. In the 1980s and early 1990s, he was dubbed "The King of Commercials" for his voiceover work, most notably for Vlasic Pickles.

He also did the voice for Veteran Holt in the video-game Medal of Honor: European Assault.

He has been married to Kay Knebes since 1961, and they have six children.

In 1990, Masak was a panelist on the revival of the television game show To Tell the Truth.

Masak is good friends with former baseball player Steve Garvey. As such, he has made appearances in the 1990 Steve Garvey Celebrity Billfish Tournament and 1989 Steve Garvey Celebrity Skiing Classic, as shown in 2004 and 2006, respectivley, on ESPN Classic's Cheap Seats.
