Ron Holloway

Ron Holloway(born August 24, 1953 in Washington, D.C.) is a tenor saxophonist in hard bop and Rhythm & Blues.
He started on alto saxophone at thirteen before switching to tenor. In 1977 he joined Rootboy Slim's band and also worked in played with funk groups during this period. He was a member of Dizzy Gillespie's last band and worked with the The Allman Brothers Band.
