Romancing SaGa 3 (ロマンシング サ・ガ3 Romanshingu Sa Ga Surī?) is the 6th title in the SaGa console role-playing game series developed and published by Squaresoft and released exclusively for the Super Famicom system in Japan. It was also the last SaGa title to be released for the Super Famicom. The game was noted for having a less linear (albeit less developed) plotline than its cousins, the Final Fantasy series and Chrono Trigger. It is also notable because it was fan translated through means of emulation.

[edit] Story
..Death Eclipse..
Every 300 years the Death Eclipse occurs: The Star of Death blocks the sun, and all newborn lives die.
None of the people, animals, plants, and monsters can escape this fate.
But one day, a baby survived. Escaping Death's attraction this child grew up became the Devil King, and ruled the world. Also The Devil King opened the Abyss Gate and unleashed the devil lords from within, until one day he suddenly vanished.
After that the world was ruled by the 4 Demon Lords. 300 years later the Death Eclipse hit the world again, one baby survived, grew up, and became the Holy King. Supported by many friends he drove back the demon lords to the Abyss and the Abyss Gate was closed.
After another 300 years, the Death Eclipse hit the world again around 10 years ago. The whole world is watching closely for the new child of destiny, feeling both eager and uneasy, will it be a devil king or a holy king?
[edit] Gameplay
The gameplay is similar to other console RPGs of the era, but with several notable differences. For example, instead of 'level ups', characters stats increased individually depending on their participation in a battle. Also, a character has a certain amount of 'LP'; it was decreased when a characters HP went below zero or when they were hit without any HP. If the LP of a character was zero, they are removed from the party, they can be recruited again.
During battle you can glimmer techniques: instantly learn a new technique which could turn the battle in your favor, the same goes for gaining the ability to evade certain enemy attacks. There is also a Commander mode, however it requires the party be full and your lead character is on the back lines, You can have the characters fight normally or in a certain formation, Commander mode is required to use the Multi Tech Magic that is acquired throughout the game.
- Playing as Mikhail
When you choose to play as Mikhail, you will start with a mini-war campaign (this will be echoed later on in the game for him). Some of these war campaigns must be won or the player loses the game. In these battles, the player controls a band of soldiers instead of individual characters. The player issues commands (forward, quick forward, rush, defend, retreat, morale up, etc). The point of the battle is to advance to the other side of the map (the player starts on the right and must advance to the left).
- Business Game
During a certain point in the game: you can play a business minigame that involves buying and selling businesses found in the various regions in the world. There are 3 Rounds, you can't participate if you have Fullbright in your party. If you talk to a certain person in each town the screen will shift to the status screen of the business game; explore each town to see if anyone is a business agent there.
The Basics of the game: The rule is simple, outbid the company you are trying to buy. There are several options during each round:
Request Cap.: Capital you gain from each business that you select here, if you select a business and hear a gleaming sound, with the message: ________ will come here for sure, that means you get a group accessible, this makes the game much easier, try and get as many groups as possible.
Request Group: The Pooled resources from various businesses in one group, like Sugar, Farm tools, or Paper for example.
Bargain: Use various methods of bargaining to give you an edge in the round.
Ally Support: Receive extra funding from ally companies
Our own money: Use your company's money.
Every so often, a rival company will try to buy off one of your businesses
Warning: If you over exert a company's funding they will break off with you due to mistrust, use the Bargain ability Make Arrangements to decrease mistrust.
