Both cathedrals are the seat of the bishop, the Most Rev. Donald J. Reece, DD, however his official resideice is in St. John's. The diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Castries.

The bishop is working for the restoration of the Church of St. Joseph and St. Patrick in St. John's. This church was damaged severely by an earthquake.
