The Diocese of Sale is a Roman Catholic diocese in Victoria, Australia, suffragan to the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

The diocese covers the southeastern part of Victoria, from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne to the New South Wales border, including all of Gippsland. Its cathedral church, St Mary's, is located in the town of Sale.

The diocese was created on April 26, 1887 and has had seven bishops

  • 1912-1925 Bishop Patrick Phelan
  • 1925-1957 Bishop Richard Ryan
  • 1957-1967 Bishop Patrick Lyons
  • 1967-1981 Bishop Arthur Fox
  • 1981-1988 Bishop Eric D'Arcy (later Archbishop of Hobart)
  • 1988-current Bishop Jeremiah Coffey
