Román Viñoly Barreto

Román Viñoly Barreto (born 8 August 1914, Montevideo, Uruguay - 20 August 1970 Buenos Aires) was a Uruguayan - Argentine film director.

Born in Montevideo Barreto directed almost 30 films between 1947 and 1966 directing films such 1954 film El Abuelo (1954 film) which starred actors such as Enrique Muino and Mecha Ortiz.

He was also a notable screen writer for Argentine film.

Barrato died in 1970 in Buenos Aires
