Rolling Thunder

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rolling Thunder Inc., established in 1987, is a Veterans Advocate organization that continues to work for the return of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action from all of the conflicts of the United States.

The President of the Organization is Artie Muller and his organization works to lobby the United States Government Officials to further investigate the issue of POWs and MIAs that are possibly held in captivity since the Vietnam War as well as those from other conflicts.

Muller has worked closely with exiled Prince Nguyen Phuc Buu Chanh of Vietnam and they have an agenda to help bring closure to the families of the MIAs and POWs that are still located in Vietnam.

Rolling Thunder is noted for its annual gathering of Vietnam Veterans and interested citizens at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia every May since 1988. It always occurs on a weekend and takes place in the Pentagon parking lot. In 1994, the Clinton administration initially refused permission for the rally to use the Pentagon parking lot, but relented in the face of overwhelming Congressional opposition.
