Rola Cola
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rola Cola is a naturally flavoured cola drink founded, created and designed by Carlo Dini in 1979 and manufactured by Dubuis & Rowsell in the United Kingdom. Dini conceived the idea of an all natural Cola beverage with a delicious natural taste.
Although it was by then no longer sold in the UK, the drink was made famous in the 2000s when Peter Kay mentioned it in his routines as the epitome of cheap fizzy drink that would be bought in the 1980s by working class parents to give to their children, much to their dissatisfaction. It was also mentioned various times by Peter Kay in his 2006 autobiography The Sound of Laughter.
