Rohan Bopanna

Rohan Bopanna (born 4 March 1980) is an Indian professional tennis player.
Bopanna who started playing tennis at age 11 reached his career high singles rankings on 27 February 2006 when he reached the 230th position in the ATP Rankings. Later that year, on 16 October he reached the 107th spot in the ATP Doubles Rankings, which was a career high as well. He has played several times for the Indian Davis Cup team and also feautured at the 2007 Hopman Cup alongside Sania Mirza, where he lost his first single match, but clinched a 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic in the final and decisive doubles match. In their second confrontation against Croatia the same scenario happened again as Mirza won her match, Bopanna lost his single, but together they managed to defeat the Croats to end up with four points out of two matches. This result increased their chances of reaching the final with one more clash versus Spain to go. India eventually lost to Spain, which qualified for the final themselves, to lose against Russia.
