Roger Whelan

Roger Whelan (born July 27, 1980) is an Irish cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who has played with Ireland's cricket team since the Eurasia cricket series of 2006.
Whelan is a lower-order batsman. His sisters, Holly and Jill Whelan play for the Irish ladies team.

Roger (Roj) is a right-handed bowler and lower order right-handed batsman on the Irish cricket team. He is the opening bowler for Railway Union Cricket Club. In 2006 Roger gained a place on the World Cup Squad for the West Indies in March 2007.
Roger has 3 sisters and 2 half sisters. Two of his sisters, Heather and Jill, are members of the Irish Womens Cricket Team, with Heather being the current captain.
He is also lead singer and guitarist with up and coming Irish band, The Stimulants (http://www.myspace.com/thestimulantsmusicrock)
