Roger Rodriguez was born in Uppsala, Sweden, (21-02-1985) to a Spanish father, Juan Carlos Rodriguez, and an Swedish mother, Hanna Jonsson. The family moved to Los Angeles when Roger was nine years old. Rodriguez was considered as a great actor. He played a few well known programs in Sweden before they moved to the USA. As Roger grew older, he started to get more interest in directing shows. He has had trainingperiods at the Friends-set (2002) working with Kevin S. Bright. In 2003 and 2004 he assisted The O.C. producer Joseph McGinty Nichol. And so he met his current love, Mischa Barton. Barton had a relationship at the time, but when she broke up with Cisco Adler (in 2006), they started to date. It ended in a new showbizz couple eventually. The relationship started in January 2007.

Despite Rodriguez lived in The USA since 1994 he did visit his home country Sweden. He got involved in several relationships. In 2004, he dated Sofia Larsson, born in 1986. The two broke up in the same year, after a few months, when Rodriguez admitted he fell in love with Anna Johannesson who played in a Swedish commercial. The two broke up after three months, saying that Rodriguez was to busy working. The ended the relationship at Christmas 2004. That year didn’t seem to end well, but 2005 started great. On a vacation in Italy, Rodriguez met Alexandra Dahlström. Dahlström is a well-known Swedish actress. She is well-known in Sweden, but she lives in Italy. She became fascinated with the country a few years earlier and decided to live there. She currently plays in a Dutch soapserie, GTST. The relationship ended in 2006, after a 1,5 year relationship, when Alexandra said: “We just can’t make time for each other, we ended the relationship, but we’ll be friends forever.” Currently, Rodriguez dates Mischa Barton, who is well-known for her role as Marissa Cooper in The O.C.. The two met each other in 2003, when Rodriguez had a training period at the O.C.-set as Assistant Director. He got along well with Barton (17 years old at the time). There were rumours at the time; “the two would be involved in a love romance”, but both of them denied. Rodriguez left The O.C. in 2004 but they didn’t stop seeing each other. When Rodriguez ended his relationship with Dahlström (July 2006), Barton was still engaged to her then boyfriend Cisco Adler. That relationship ended in November 2006, when nude pictures appeared in the press, Barton decided to leave Adler. Currently Barton and Rodriguez are together since January 2007.
