Roger Arnebergh (1910-January 25, 2004) served as Los Angeles City Attorney from 1953 to 1973. Although he dropped out of high school at the age of fifteen, he received a law degree through extension learning. He won the election in 1953 because he was supported by Ray L. Chesebro, who was retiring. He would later be re-elected with little opposition.

Though the office was nonpartisan, he attended the 1964 Republican Party National Convention as a Barry Goldwater delegate.
