[edit] Summary

I scanned this from a book copyrighted in 1920, A History of the United States for the Grammar Grades by Robert Green Hall, Harriet Smither, and Clarence Ousley. According the copyright attorney for the University of Texas System Board of Regents, the textbook is unquestionably in the public domain. I therefore also assume all images therein are as well. According to http://www.fairhavenprintshop.com/Roger%20Williams%20Narragansetts%20Indians.htm, as site that sells a print of the same image, "This is a genuine vintage steel engraving published in an American history in 1856. Engraved by J C Armytage from an original art work by A H Wray." I hope you can use this on your Roger Williams site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Williams_%28theologian%29.
