Talk:Rodi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"it remains that a hiding behind one router is nothing different, of using a Proxy which is central usually. There are meanwhile however already decentralized proxy networks, in which each Node can transform into a Proxy."

right, there are. In Rodi network bouncer is a service. Rodi Publisher asks Bouncer to help using different media.

"Confidence nets are trivial and are a simple ftp hub with passwords," Rodi is not FTP with password network. In Rodi peers do not send passwords to each other.

"thus not p2p usable, since it excludes all, which do not belong to the closed user-circle." not really. WASTE ? DC+ ?

"Spoofen of an IP address is hardly suitable, in order to remain anonymous. " why ?

" www.jetiants.tk is there around some superior, as well www.i2p.net." they are different. and Rodi is different. different goals, different applications. common, relax, be cool, tomorrow is going to be another day, right ?

I removed that whole paragraph. It was added by an anonymous user, it is hard to extrapolate any meaning from it, and what I was able to understand was very POV. If someone wants to add it back in, fine, but please rewrite it so that it is possible to understand (even if the reader doesn't know all the terms already), and don't claim that any competing product is "superior". i tend to keep everything other people put. so in this specific case it was (likely) an automatic translation from German to English. thanks.

how did you solve the problem that you cannot (or could not?) spoof your source ip cross-platform in java? is it trivial? i googled for information but it didnt seem possible

(nvm, last update here seems from 2005)
