Rodney 'Rod' Corkhill was a fictional character in the British soap opera, Brookside, played by Jason Hope from 1985 until 1993. Rod was a police constable, which created the soubriquet " Rod the Plod ". He later reappeared in 2001, visiting his uncle Jimmy. At that time Jason Hope was actually working as a hairdresser in Hamilton, Bermuda.
