Rocky (Lolo)

A Rocky resembles a grey, square stone monster that has ringed eyes and a big smile on its face. They move freely around the levels, unless blocked by something. Rockies move at half speed of Lolo and other enemies. They also don't chase Lolo directly, but rather walk around in a pattern. If a Rocky is aligned with Lolo along a vertical file, it will charge in Lolo's direction at full speed, typically in an attempt to trap Lolo in place. Rockies that are in Lolo's proximity also stop moving in an attempt to block Lolo's path.

[edit] Rocky facts

  • Rockies made their first appearance in the MSX computer game Eggerland 2.
  • The Rocky's AI, like most mobile monsters, was a little poorer in the old days but improved in the Nintendo game Eggerland.
  • The Rocky's graphic has always been the same sprite, for the most part.
  • Rockies look more like a 3-D trapezoid in the Microsoft Windows version when they are walking left or right.
  • Rockies don't smile in the Windows version.
  • Rockies were later made into mini-bosses for Kirby's Dream Land 2 and 3, being renamed Blockies in the process.

*The Rocky also makes an appearance in the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! anime as the very second monster that Kirby has to face. It is also renamed Blocky in the anime. It is made up of four Rockies that are its actual form in all the Eggerland and Kirby games it appears in. Kirby inhales at least one of them and becomes Stone Kirby when he does.

When any number of them merge together, they form its true form, which also transforms from a little block of rock that it starts out as. Its true form looks similar to the Rockies it is made up of, but has arms, a more evil look, and is dressed up as a sumo wrestler. According to Meta Knight, its greatest strength is also its biggest weakness; its weight.

Domestic Servant Robot bears a distinct resemblance to the Rocky's actual form in all the Eggerland and Kirby games it appears in.

Another monster that appears later in the anime, known as Domestic Servant Robot, who manages chores but secretly steals stuff and has another form built for battle that it can transform into (thus making it a spinoff of the Transformers series), bears a resemblance to the Rocky in its actual form in all the Eggerland and Kirby games it appears in, in its starting form, aside from the fact that it's mechanical and made of metal, it has mechanical arms and a mechanical slot on its face, its feet are tank-like wheels, and it has a mechanical left eye that it shoots lasers from. Its right eye looks similar to that of another Kirby enemy, Chilly.
