Rockpile was a British rock group noted for strong rockabilly and power pop influences. Formed by Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds, the band took its name from the title of a 1972 Dave Edmunds album. The other two members were Billy Bremner (guitar and occasional lead vocals) and Terry Williams (drums). The band was primarily known as a backup group to most of Lowe's and Edmunds' solo projects. However, they did release one album (Seconds of Pleasure) in 1980, which spawned the minor hit "Teacher Teacher". In August they played the noted Heatwave festival near Toronto. The band broke up the next year.
