Rocknations

Rocknations is the annual youth conference hosted every summer by the Abundant Life Church in Bradford, England.

The conference began in 2000, with under 100 delegates by Steve Gambill and has since grown to become one of the biggest youth conferences in the UK, the most recent conference attracted around 1500 delegates.
It features mix of inspiring speakers, praise & worship, live bands. On site there are various activities to keep delegates occupied between sessions, such as basketball and football tournaments, a skate park, and an open air cafe.
In past years, conference delegates have been given the opportunity to spend time in deprived areas of Bradford, helping with the church's social justice projects.
[edit] Speakers
Over the last 6 years, Rocknations has attracted high-profile, in demand speakers and bands from the Christian world, including Russell Evans (from Planetshakers), Phil Dooley (from Hillsong), Matthew Barnett (founder of the LA Dream Center) and Mal Fletcher. This year they have confirmed Christine Caine as the headline speaker. Also conference host Steve Gambill, youth director at ALC, speaks at the conference every year.
The conference also features up and coming UK speakers, Chezz (from Planet Youth in Aycliffe) and Jon Norman (from Wildlife, in Norwich).

RPM are the house band for this conference, and lead in praise and worship at every session. Guest bands include Hillsong United, One Hundred Hours, thebandwithnoname, Titus, Electralyte. Switchfoot were booked to perform at Rocknations 06, however they had to cancel due to a family medical emergency. They later played a seperate gig at the church in Februrary 2007.
