Rockhampton City Council is a Local Government Area (LGA) in central Queensland, Australia. The LGA covers the urban locality of Rockhampton and most of the surrounding suburbs.

Rockhampton was proclaimed a town on 15 December 1860 and became a city in 1902.[1]
