Rockchapel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rockchapel is a small village in the extreme northwest of County Cork, on the outskirts of the Mullaghareirk Mountains. Much of the land close to the village is planted with coniferous trees, mainly of fir and spruce. This was largely facilitated by financial funding from the national forestry company Coillte through its grant support scheme. The area is famous for its traditional musical heritage. Motorsport is also popular and rallying commands local support as the terrain is most suitable ofr this form of racing.
