Rock Spring is a small unincorporated community located in northwest Georgia about 14 miles south of Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is in Walker County.

The nearest major city is Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the nearest incorporated cities are Chickamauga, Georgia and LaFayette, Georgia, just a few minutes away. From Rock Spring it takes roughly twenty minutes to drive in to the Chattanooga city limits, and about thirty-five minutes for downtown Chattanooga.

Northwest Georgia is a very historic place. During the Civil War, the battle of Chickamauga was fought here and was one of the major battles of the war. There is now a National Military Park (Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park) spanning hundreds of acres in Chickamauga where one can find information about the battle of Chickamauga and Chattanooga, view the beautiful landscape, visit the museum, go for a bike ride, go horseback riding, and countless other activities.
