Rock Hard Ten (Kris S-Tersa by Mr. Prospector) was born in Kentucky on April 5, 2001. Co-owned and bred by the widow of prominent horseman Allen E. Paulson, at 17 hands the almost completely black Rock Hard Ten was an imposing racehorse.
Unraced at two, Rock Hard Ten did not qualify for the Kentucky Derby but was second to Smarty Jones in the 2004 Preakness Stakes. Out of 11 starts the grandson of Epsom Derby winner Roberto won 7, placed once, and came in third once.
Rock Hard Ten currently stands at stud at Lane's End Farm in Versailles, Kentucky.
