Rocco Landesman

Rocco Landesman is president of Jujamcyn Theaters, the third largest Broadway theatre organization. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, and received an MFA from Yale University. He received an honorary degree from Colby College in 2005.
In the 1970s and 1980s he founded a mutual fund, called The Cardinals Fund, and raced thoroughbred horses. He was also a professor of dramatic literature at Yale. However, he then switched to producing Broadway plays, where he has had much success, starting with Big River in 1985.
He grew up in St. Louis County, Missouri, and graduated from Clayton High School in 1965. His father, Fred Landesman, and uncle, Jay Landesman, started up the Crystal Palace, a cabaret, in Gaslight Square.
