[edit] ...and some regrettable news
Hello. I've deleted the article you wrote, Java User Group Liguria. This was due to it met one or more criteria for speedy deletion.
The specific reason was that the article was devoid of any real content. This is the speedy deletion criterion A3. Just having a title or image isn't enough to qualify as content, I'm afraid. If you have no real content whatsoever to start the article with, it is better to keep the article completely un-created until someone does have some basic information.
Note that if you wish to prepare an article yourself before you consider it worthy putting to the article space, you can prepare it on your user space - see that page for instructions. You can create a subpage of your user page, prepare an article there, then use the Move command to move it to article space. You can also use your user page and its subpages for your personal Wikipedia-related to-do lists, notes, and like.
(Also, be sure to check the notability guidelines. Local Java User Groups are frequently not notable enough for articles of their own - but they may be worth an external link in a relevant article.)
As a general advice, I'd recommend that when you create a new article, at least provide some basic information that explains concisely the background. (Consider answering "who, what, when, where, why?", for example.) The most important question about any subject, in my opinion, is this: What's so important about this subject? Why has this subject left a mark in history?
It is often better to just go a stroll on Wikipedia: Try hitting the "Random article" link on the navigation box a few times, and see how most articles are laid out. Try reading about your other favorite subjects; see how these articles are laid out and what kind of information is needed. Try reading about related subjects.
In closing, happy editing and don't let small disappointments get you down. =) --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 19:32, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
